If you are planning to bring more than a backpack with you, we strongly recommend making use of one of the luggage transportation services below. That way, you can enjoy your time in the area without lugging heavy bags around all day, or worrying how you’re going to fit them on the bus.
Note that these luggage transportation services can often get overloaded with requests during busy seasons (especially spring and autumn), so we recommend you make a reservation with them as far in advance of your visit as possible.

Tsumago Tourist Information Centre
& Magome Tourist Information Centre
Located right in the centre of both Magome and Tsumago post towns, they can transfer your luggage from either Magome to Tsumago, or from Tsumago to Magome. No advanced reservation required, but please check the information below carefully:
Operating season: 20th March – 30th November
Office hours: 8:30am – 11:30am
Baggage pickup time: 1:00pm – 5:00pm
Price: 1,000 yen per piece of luggage
