Cancellation Policy:
If you choose to cancel your tour the following cancellation charges will apply, determined by the date (Japanese time) you contact us in writing to cancel the tour:
14+ days before the day of the tour: free cancellation
7-13 days before the day of the tour: 25% of the total price of the tour
4-6 days before the tour: 50% of the total price
up to 3 days before the tour: 100% of the total price
The tour will go ahead in the event of rain (we will suggest alternative indoor activities where available), but we may have to cancel your tour at short notice in the event of extreme weather, natural disasters, severe sickness, etc. You’ll receive a full refund if this happens.
If we have to cut the tour short due to injury, a customer acting unsafely, etc. unfortunately we cannot provide a refund.
Safety & Travel Insurance:
We will do everything we can to ensure that our tours are as safe as possible. As such, there may be times when we are forced to cancel a tour (generally in advance, but conceivably during the tour itself in case of injuries or unsafe behaviour on the part of customers). Please see our cancellation policy above for more details.
However, please understand that even though we’ll do everything we can to keep you safe, injuries are still possible – for example slipping and falling on a well-maintained hiking trail, unforeseeable traffic accidents, etc. etc.
If by some chance this kind of thing happens, we’ll provide whatever assistance we can (for example in getting the injured party to a hospital, etc.). As mentioned above, this may mean we have to cut the tour short.
Finally, we ask that you provide your own travel insurance – we advise doing so for the entirety of your visit to Japan.
